Noted community leader to head Leadership SLO
|
Sandi Sigurdson, who has successfully led the San Luis Obispo Symphony as executive director the past 15 years, will take over as executive director of Leadership San Luis Obispo, the Chamber’s program for developing business and civic leaders.
Sigurdson, a graduate in 1991 of Leadership SLO Class I, has been actively involved in many different facets of community leadership: She has served as a City of San Luis Obispo Planning Commissioner, President of the Central Coast Planned Giving Council, a vice-chair of the SLO Chamber of Commerce, a one-time candidate for the County Board of Supervisors and has just completed a term as President of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO).
“Sandi epitomizes what Leadership SLO is all about: empowering citizens to reach their leadership potential. Her demonstrated leadership ability will raise our program to an even higher level,” commented Chamber President/CEO Dave Garth.
