Dear Chamber Member, My decision to retire was one of the most difficult decisions of my life. Even after 38-plus years, I still love the Chamber and I’m still passionate about our mission, my job, and local business. Then the obvious question might be, why now? There are, of course, the personal reasons, like the realization that there are many things I still want to do in my life and have fewer years ahead to do them. But the decision was driven more by my conclusion that this is the perfect time for the Chamber to handle this transition. We are financially and programmatically strong with powerful and competent volunteer leaders and an exceptionally talented and committed professional staff. I can leave now with absolute confidence that the organization I love will remain well-led and well-managed. That gives me a sense of pride and great personal comfort. I hope in the next five months to have an opportunity to thank you personally for your support, your understanding and your friendship. It’s been a great ride and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. Yours Sincerely, Dave | ||||||
